It’s been my general goal to visit all the renowned patisseries in Paris before I leave, however, I’ve slowed down quite a bit since I first arrived. My “To Visit” list is ever growing, but my lack of progress is quite embarrassing. It’s a combination of knowing there’s always tomorrow, the fact that I like revisiting places I already know, and lastly because I don’t like to go to patisseries by myself. All of those reasons canceled out when a couple of my friends and I made it a point to visit La Petite Rose before I go to Korea for the holidays.

I’m only back in Paris for a few days and then I’m off to Korea! I’m super excited about spending the holidays with my family, but before getting too ahead of myself, I just want to relax and enjoy being in Paris sans all the responsibilities that come with being in school.

I’m already back in Paris! It was a whirlwind of a trip full of (what felt like) 100+ bridesmaids dresses, tastings with caterers, venue visiting, dessert bar planning (yes! I’m doing the dessert bar!), sister talk, and mother-daughter-sister bonding. There are still a ton of things to do, but I’m so glad that I got to go and be a little part of the whole process.
It was so good to be back in the States. And while I try not to dwell too much on the things I miss about America (ie. friendly hospitality), I couldn’t help but take some photos with my phone of some of the more tangible things that I miss about the U.S.

So, why did I come to the states so suddenly? My sister is getting married! The wedding is next fall, but there’s so much planning to do my family thought it would be nice to have me around to help out. I don’t know how much help I was in the end, but I’m convincing myself that just my presence was of great moral support.

I’m in San Diego! It was such a spontaneous, impromptu trip that I still can’t believe I’m here. It’s been over two years since I was last in the States, I’m having so much fun visiting even the most mundane of places (ie. supermarkets). Obediently waiting for me when I got here was 1.5 years worth of Food & Wine magazines my grandparents diligently saved for me! It’s been so much fun going through them and tagging recipes and ideas I like.
