I haven’t bakes with lavender yet, but just got some lavender extract for Christmas, I might try it in shortbread. It sounds amazing!

Mmm…i love the scent of lavender. I’m not very good at keeping plants alive either, so I don’t blame ya. At least your mom can come to the rescue.

Once again, your photos are simply stunning! We have a giant lavender bush out front which is still going strong (which is astounding considering I live in Upstate New York). I’ll have to try these. For your savory dishes have you used Herbs en Provence? Lavender is used as a spice in this blend. Shannalee-I bet sage made it interesting but tasty!

I really want to make these. They look so pretty and elegant compared to some of the traditional and sometimes hokey holiday cookies you see. I’m curious about Ruhlman’s book though a little intimidated…maybe I’ll check it out.

Oh, there is really nothing quite like lavender, is there? I made a version of these last year, and I loved them so much. But it was only a few days later that I found out the fresh lavender I’d picked from the backyard was actually PURPLE SAGE. So awkward, ha!
